Hello Mattie,
Both Granddad and I want you to know that we have tried to keep the communication lines opened through Ya Ya and De De as that was the only way we could find out how you are. All we have previously been told by De De is that he did give you our letters.
As their telephone does not accept calls from our phone anymore. Needless to say this has upset us greatly and we cannot understand why they have done this to us.
The last time I called I spoke to Ya Ya to ask her if she would speak to your mum to see if your mum would relent and allow us to see you.
Ya Ya doubted if mum would relent as Ya Ya said she went throught the same thing with her father and family and did not see them again.
As I said previously, I was not able to make any further contact to get the results as their phone would not accept calls from us.
Because of this I telephoned your mum last night to ask if she would give her consent for both of you to meeting us somewhere so we can see you.
Mum's response to me was' I dont think so as he does not want to see you.'
Mattie,No matter what others may say or do to prevent us seeing you, We cannot nor will we believe what they say.
We will never ever ever forget you, we will not stop loving you or stop trying to make contact with you. You are too deeply embedded in our hearts and minds and are still part of the family as far as we are concerned.
The following is Just a little poem I found on the internet
GRANDPARENTS AND CHILDREN
Grandparents and Grandchildren,
Together they create a chain of love
Linking the past
With the future
The chain may lengthen
But it will never part
God Bless Mattie,
Love you loads and we look forward to seeing you again one day.
